 Using PM Benchmark passages with PALS
Choose the passage that corresponds to the hightest word list on which the student could read 15 or more words correctly. Use the table below to help determine which oral reading passage to administer first.

Level 44 is the highest passage in the 1997 and 2001 editions of the DRA. Therefore, students who read 15 or more word correctly on the sixt grade word list may read levels 44, 50 or 60.
