Feed The Children donates $25,000 worth of school supplies.
The Title I program provides supplemental educational services to ensure that all children have a fair, equal, and significant opportunity to obtain a high quality education. Title I helps schools provide world-class educational opportunities to all students.

Feed The Children Donates Backpacks
The Title I Homeless Program of Saint Paul Public Schools hosted an event in tandem with Minneapolis Public Schools Homeless Program to provide 1,960 backpacks filled with school supplies and nonperishable food items for homeless children in the two districts on August 14, 2008.  

Adequate Yearly Progress Reports (AYP)
Each year, every school in Saint Paul is evaluated by the Minnesota Department of Education to determine whether or not the school has made Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) in helping all students reach proficiency by 2014, as required by No Child Left Behind. Title I schools found not to be making AYP for consecutive years are subject to additional requirements under NCLB. Saint Paul Learning Standards

Coming this fall, Saint Paul Public Schools will be publishing a set of booklets for parents about "Learning Standards." The Learning Standards booklets will explain what children should know and be able to do and will offer families tips on things they can do to support the standards. Click here to order your copies.
