| Title I Neglected or Delinquent Programs | | The Title I Program for Neglected or Delinquent students serves seven sites within the Saint Paul Public Schools District. Services provided in these programs are designed with the expectation that neglected, delinquent, and at risk children and youth participating, will meet the same high academic standards expected of all children and youth.
All of the Neglected and Delinquent programs must demonstrate improved educational services to the children and youth they serve, giving them opportunities to meet the same challenging State standards that all children in the State are expected to meet. They also must provide these children and youth with the services needed to make a successful transition from institutionalization to further schooling end employment. A major component of these programs is preventing at risk youth from dropping out of school and providing dropouts and youth returning from institutions, with a support system to ensure their continued education. The children and youth residing in Neglected and Delinquent facilities will be expected to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to become economically self-sufficient and lead productive lives.
